How to download Instagram Reels on Android
You can save supported public Reels from an Android browser without installing a separate InstaDL app. Start with the original Reel URL and use the download controls in your browser.
Download a public Reel in four steps
- 1. Copy the Reel link. Open the Reel in Instagram, tap Share, and choose Copy link.
- 2. Open the Reels tool. Visit InstaDL in Chrome, Firefox, Samsung Internet, or another current browser.
- 3. Paste and process. Paste the complete public URL, then wait for an available result.
- 4. Save and find the file. Use the download button. Android browsers typically place the file in Downloads, accessible from the browser menu or Files app.
Where Android saves downloaded Reels
Most browsers use your device’s Downloads folder. Open Files by Google, My Files, or your browser’s download list to locate the saved media. If your browser asks where to save the file, select a folder you can find again later.
What to do if the Reel will not download
Confirm that the link is complete and that the Reel is still public. Private accounts, deleted Reels, restricted media, and unsupported URLs may not work. Refresh your browser once and retry the original copied link. Visit the troubleshooting guide for more checks.
Use saved content responsibly
Saving a file does not transfer copyright or permission to repost it. Use downloads for your own posts, personal reference, archival purposes, or media you are authorized to save and use. InstaDL supports supported public media only.
