Troubleshooting guide
Instagram downloader not working?
Most failed downloads have a simple cause. Work through these checks before trying the link again.
1. Copy the full original link
Open the public post and use Instagram’s Copy link option. Avoid copied captions, partial URLs, search-result links, and links that have been edited by another app.
2. Confirm that the media is public and available
Private accounts, deleted posts, region-restricted media, and expired Stories cannot be fetched. InstaDL does not bypass account privacy or access controls.
3. Use the matching media tool
Reels, photos, Stories, and carousel posts can have different formats. Try the relevant Reels, Photo, Story, or Carousel tool.
4. Refresh your browser and try once more
A temporary browser or network issue can interrupt a request. Refresh, disable a conflicting extension if necessary, and paste the original link again. Repeated requests will not make private or removed content available.
Still need help?
Review the supported-content limitations and responsible-use guidance, then contact support with the media type and a description of the error. Do not include private account credentials.
