How to download Instagram videos on a PC
For supported public Instagram videos, a desktop browser gives you a quick copy-and-save workflow. You do not need to install a separate InstaDL application.

Copy the original URL
Open the public video and copy the full address from your browser’s address bar.

Paste it into InstaDL
Open the video downloader, paste the URL, and process the public link.

Save the available file
Use the result’s download button and check your browser Downloads folder.
Windows and Mac download locations
Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari usually save downloads to a Downloads folder unless you select another location. Use the browser’s download icon to reveal the file, then choose Show in folder or its equivalent.
A link did not produce a result
First make sure you copied the original public post URL, not a page title or partial link. Private content, deleted posts, expired Stories, and restricted or unsupported media cannot be made available through the tool. See our Instagram downloader troubleshooting guide for a concise checklist.
Respect creator rights
Only download public content you own, have permission to save, or may lawfully use for personal reference. Do not treat a download as permission to repost, edit, or commercialize someone else’s work.
